How to Witness to Others – Using a TANDEM Bracelet
To go and witness to others, for many of us, is not an easy task. If I’m being honest, I’d rather have someone else do it. Do you feel the same? Or do you look forward to those opportunities?
Well, if you’re anything like me, it’s not easy to initiate that type of conversation. Is it because I’m an introvert? Perhaps. But is that a good excuse? Absolutely not. Did Jesus give us a pass if we’re introverts when He gave His great commission?
Perhaps you need a little bit of help opening those conversations. If that’s you, then I want to share a possible solution – a TANDEM bracelet.

It’s a tangible reminder that you’re never alone
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’” – Hebrews 13:5-6
As a believer, God is always with you. He makes that clear to us throughout the Bible. Sometimes we need something more tangible than that though. A TANDEM bracelet can help with that.
Wearing a TANDEM bracelet doesn’t save you, protect you, or even guide you in life. But it is a tangible reminder that God will do those things for you. It’s something you can hold onto (besides the Bible) as a reminder that no matter what you go through in life, He will always be by your side.
It’s a great conversation starter
With their unique design and various colors, TANDEM bracelets are great conversation starters. As a man, I’m sure I don’t get asked about my TANDEM bracelet as my wife and kids do. But it does still happen.
Because each TANDEM bracelet also has a cross or fish, most people recognize the Christian symbols. Not to mention, the fish symbol has the name Jesus inscribed on the inside of it. Whether wearing the cross or the fish, we know that the main focus is Jesus Christ.
For your friends, who you know are not believers, a TANDEM bracelet could very well be an opening to talk to them about your faith in Jesus Christ. It also opens the door to talking to complete strangers about Him as well. And, for those of us who are introverts, we didn’t even have to initiate it.
Use it to explain your personal salvation story
The three circles on each TANDEM bracelet represent one of two things. It represents that there are three unique persons in the Holy Trinity. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. At the same time, it can represent your personal testimony.
The first circle would symbolize your life before you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Whether you were an adult or a child, we all have had a life before we accepted the gift God gave to us through His son Jesus Christ (John 3:16).
The second circle would symbolize what was going on in your life when you came to the saving faith of accepting Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior. Did you have a major event happen that turned you from your sinful ways to Christ? Did you grow up in the church and you felt you believed in Him and wanted to accept Him into your life? Whatever it is, it’s your story to share with others. It’s your testimony.
And the third circle would represent what your life has been like since you made that decision. Has it made your life difficult? Has life gotten easier? Have you felt His presence? Have you gotten closer and stronger in your faith? Whatever it is, again, this is part of your story – your testimony.
Remember what the acronym TANDEM stands for
Of course, you can also go through what the acronym TANDEM stands for. When God gave us the vision of TANDEM, He gave it with the understanding that we would use it to honor Him. And a great way to do that is to describe what He’s done for us and what we can do to help further His kingdom.
The “T” stands for transformed. As a believer, you have been transformed by the renewal of your mind (Romans 12:1-2)..
The “A” stands for adopted. When you chose to believe and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, the Bible tells us that you have been adopted into the family of God (Galatians 3:26-28 and John 1:12).
The “N” stands for new creation. The moment you accepted the free gift Jesus paid for on the cross, you became a new creation. Your old had passed away and your new had come (2 Corinthians 5:17-19).
The “D” stands for delivered. You were delivered from your sinful nature. That doesn’t mean that you won’t sin again. It means you will feel convicted when you do. Eventually, if you continue to strive to love Jesus more, you will no longer desire to sin (Romans 6:12-14).
The “E” stands for empowered. We are now empowered to model the way Jesus taught and lived. (Titus 2:11-14)
The “M” stands for messengers. Jesus’ last command, before He ascended to Heaven, was the Great Commission. To spread the good news about Jesus Christ throughout the world (Matthew 28:18-20).
Therefore, Go and Witness to Others
You don’t have to travel to a foreign country, another state, or even a different city to be a missionary and witness to others. Your mission field is in your daily life. The people you interact with, and the places you go, on a daily basis. That’s your mission field. God gave you gifts. Whatever they are, use them to glorify Him. That includes your ability to talk to others – whether you’re an introvert or not. And using a TANDEM bracelet can be a great tool to help you to do just that.
