More Christian artists who align with heretics or apostates

Unfortunately, in my search to find Christian artists who don’t appear to be compromised, I’ve found even more artists who are. And I’ve still just touched the surface. Even if I haven’t mentioned them in any of my articles, that doesn’t mean they’re not compromised.

Because I keep getting asked for Christian artists who are good to listen to, at the end of the article I’ll discuss discovering non-compromised Christian artists.

Just like in life, music artists have choices. But if they want to make it big, they’ll have to compromise. Just like Faith Hill, Jessica Simpson, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry.

My gripe with these artists is they’re not being honest with themselves or their fans. If they want to align with Satanists, heretics, apostates, and/or sing songs that don’t have a biblical basis, then don’t call yourself a Christian artist. I’m not saying they shouldn’t call themselves Christians.

I know I have a prodigal son story. And I’ve removed the log from my eye so I can see clearly to help my brothers and sisters in Christ.

That being said, here are more “Christian” artists who are compromised.

Anne Wilson (not to be confused with Ann Wilson of Heart) is rather new to the Christian music industry. Then again, being born in 2002, she’s rather young. Her breakout song “My Jesus” made its debut on May 1, 2021.

Along the way, she’s become associated with some of the biggest names in the Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) industry. And that isn’t necessarily a good thing.

Not only has she teamed up with some big names in the Christian music industry. She’s also done so with names in the secular music industry.

Recently, she teamed with Universal Music Group (Nashville) to release her new music.

According to Universal Music Group’s website, they “Exist to shape culture through the power of artistry.”

To shape culture. Shaping culture isn’t always a good thing. Think about how the LGBTQ+ culture has been weaponized by their Demoncrat partners to shape the culture of the world.

Here are just a few of the groups listed on Universal Music Group’s Labels and Brands page. Notice any that stand out? Perhaps not their names but their labels do.

Two jumped off the page at me. “American” with an upside-down American flag. And “Boominati” with the Eye of Providence (aka the All-Seeing-Eye). Even the name sounds an awful lot like “Illuminati.” Which is a Satan-worshiping secret society.

If you didn’t know, displaying or flying the American flag upside-down has significant meaning.

Anymore, some Americans display their flag upside-down as a sign of hostility against the US in disagreement with some political issue(s).

But those two are smaller brands within the Universal Music Group.

Their number one brand is Republic Records. They have artists such as Ariana Grande (“God is a woman”), Drake, Nicki Minaj, Pearl Jam, John Legend, Post Malone, The Weeknd, and Matthew West among others.

Here’s a somewhat disturbing video of Ariana Grande’s song “God is a Woman” played in reverse.

Perhaps you read my article on Christian artists who use occult symbols. If so, then you’ll know that Drake is a known Satanist.

Other artists under Republic Records who are also Satanists include Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, and The Weeknd to name a few.

This is the recording label Anne Wilson teamed up with to create and sell her music.

Some of the groups Anne Wilson is aligned with on songs and tours include Chris Tomlin, Big Daddy Weave, Matthew West, Phil Wickham, Zach Williams, Crowder, and Casting Crowns.

If you read my first article: Christian artists who are heretics or apostates – or align with them, then you’ll know that both Chris Tomlin and Phil Wickham are affiliated with Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen. Two well-known heretics of Christianity. And how Casting Crowns tours with Hillsong and Elevation Worship. Or that Zach Williams collaborates on songs and tours with TobyMac.

The duo Shane & Shane (Shane Barnard and Shane Everett) started like many “Christian” groups. According to the site linked above, “Their desire has always been to glorify the Lord instead of themselves and they do so by writing music that is biblically based, lyrically rich, and sonically engaging.”

The site goes on to say that they started an online space to equip worship leaders called the Worship Initiative. It’s a site broken down into multiple sections. One of which is called “Shepard Your Team.” One of the individuals listed in this section is Phil Wickham.

If you don’t know about Phil Wickham, please read my article on Christian artists who are heretics or apostates – or align with them.

The flier indicates “Brian & Jenn Johnson.” They’re from Bethel church. Even if it’s a one-time event, they have to be fully aware of the heresies Bethel spreads in their music and church.

All Sons & Daughters was formed by David Alan Leonard and Leslie Anne Jordan from The Journey Church in Franklin, Tennessee. Their pastor, Jamie George is characterized as a “progressive pastor.”

(From Journey Church’s website)

At the time of this writing, Jamie George is no longer a pastor at Journey Church. Nonetheless, the church is still a progressive church. We can see that by merely looking at the “Leadership” page.

The number two leader in the church is Suzie Lind – Executive Pastor of Ministries.

“A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet.”1 Timothy 2:11-12

“So, a church leader must be a man whose life is above reproach. He must be faithful to his wife. He must exercise self-control, live wisely, and have a good reputation. He must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must be able to teach.”1 Timothy 3:2

“An elder* must live a blameless life. He must be faithful to his wife, and his children must be believers who don’t have a reputation for being wild or rebellious. 7 A church leader is a manager of God’s household, so he must live a blameless life. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered; he must not be a heavy drinker, violent, or dishonest with money.”Titus 1:6-7

*Elder is synonymous with [church] leader, pastor, and bishop.

“Women should be silent during the church meetings. It is not proper for them to speak. They should be submissive, just as the law says. 35 If they have any questions, they should ask their husbands at home, for it is improper for women to speak in church meetings.

36 Or do you think God’s word originated with you Corinthians? Are you the only ones to whom it was given? 37 If you claim to be a prophet or think you are spiritual, you should recognize that what I am saying is a command from the Lord himself.”1 Corinthians 14:34-37

In other words, the church that the group All Sons & Daughters attends (or attended) is a progressive church that sees fit to alter God’s Word to suit their needs. Which means, their music also comes from that lens.

Community Music is a group from the UK. And like Bethel, Hillsong, and Elevation Worship, Community Music’s music is all about the “feeling.”

According to their website Community Christian, “Community Music is the Soundtrack to a Movement. At the heart of Community Music is a passion for helping people find their way back to God with a focus on equipping the local church through developing leaders, artists, songwriters, and worshipers.”

Consider their song “Make Room.” It only has two verses, a chorus, and a bridge. However, the song lasts nearly seven minutes long. That’s because they sing the same lyrics over and over again, like hypnosis. Similar to Oceans by Hillsong (which is nine minutes long).

Just as with The Journey Church, Community Christian Church has a woman on their leadership team. According to their site, at the time of this writing, Lanna Weber was listed as their Executive Pastor of Ministries.

As specified above, that is not a position to be held by a woman. I’m not sexist. Just calling out what the Bible specifies.

Brandon Lake is known for a couple of songs. Probably most notably, “Gratitude.” At the same time, he’s also known for his collaborations.

According to Air1, “One of the most in-demand collaborators in worship music today is Brandon Lake, having collaborated on hit songs with worship collectives like Maverick City Music, Elevation Worship, and Bethel Music.”

As we saw earlier, Brandon is associated with Shane & Shane and Phil Whickham too.

Additionally, he’s endorsed heresies like The Chosen. According to Charisma and CBN News, Lake said, “The Chosen changed my life.” He said about the show, “It was like bringing the Word from black and white into full color.”

When The Chosen first came out. I’ll have to agree, I was intrigued by it as well. However, I picked up on several nuances that didn’t align with the Bible. Then I did more research and found how far from the Bible they are.

So much so that The Chosen was included in his music video for the song “Tear Off The Roof.”

Not only does he team up with The Chosen, Bethel Music, and Elevation Worship. Brandon Lake is scheduled to tour with Phil Wickham in August of this year (2024).

(For those who think perhaps it was just a one-time thing)

If you’ve never heard of them, don’t worry, you’re not alone. Perhaps that’s because they’re a “Canadian Rock Band.”

The lead singer for the band, in an Instagram post, admitted that he’s not a Christian or lover of God. In his 2020 interview with Esquire Magazine, Joe Steingard admitted he “no longer believed in God.”

Unfortunately, the Instagram post is no longer there.

It went on to say, “He fought those feelings off as long as he could—he would ‘shove them down,’ he says—but eventually they became unavoidable.”

The Esquire article said that his feelings changed “over the past few years.” But it sounds like there’s a lot more to it than that.

He said, “But when I got right down to it, I was just trying to convince myself of things in order to hold onto my notion of God. Eventually, I got to this place where I realized if I was honest with myself, and if I could build up the courage to actually say it to myself, I’d have to say, ‘I don’t believe any of it.’”

Joe joined as their guitarist in 2004. According to Wikipedia, the group was formed in 2000. In 2012, he moved from playing the guitar to lead singer. “After [Jason] Dunn’s departure from the band, Steingard replacing him on vocals marked a shift in the band’s genre from fast-paced pop punk to softer, contemporary alternative and pop rock.”

It appears the band broke up after that. Therefore, any songs heard on K-Love, The Joy FM, or other so-called “Christian” radio stations were during Joe’s 20-year stint with the group.

Reading various articles about them, it’s hard to see when they ever “went Christian.” It primarily talks about their accolades as a mainstream Canadian rock band. Perhaps periodically teaming up with heretics like Amy Grant is what made them “Christian.”

Unfortunately, the number of Christian artists who aren’t compromised is extremely small. I’m working on an article that will highlight those artists. So far, I’ve only found three. Therefore, I have to keep searching until I can find enough to write about.

I know they’re out there. The problem is they’re not well-known, because they haven’t sold their souls to the devil like so many other artists including so-called “Christian artists.”
